Hey Mike. This is beautiful and brilliant. And as I would, see systems and dynamics, and constant ask "what is the source of the phenomena we are seeing or experiencing." And things change and we change things depending on the lens, of course. I would distinquish different systems views, or way of viewing systems. So, you site Senge and Meadows, both seeing systems "cybernetically". This leads to an expanded way of seeing wholes, but remains quite mechanical, or can. The lens of a systems view of life leads us somewhere else, down (or up) the patch of understanding what we are seeing a living system. And a living lens helps us see and understand some living, moving, changing, indeterminate, complex..life. And seeing this way opens up radically expanding understanding of the source of the issue we re seeing, and seeking to change. I love and work religiously with the question What is the source of this. phenomena we are seeing?

Well, that a bit of a rant. I hear, share and support the direction of the Burnham ideas, and say, even with my optimistic cynicism, let's give them some space and even extend some trust.

Enough for now. Thanks Mike for your deep thinking a discipline for sharing. Be well.
